Dear Friends of the Truro Rugby Club,

Well the time is upon us once again for all Ruggers and fans to give a big Cheers to The 38th Truro Indoor Sevens Rugby Tournament!! Not only does every Maritime Rugger wait for these fine moments to begin each year but more and more Ruggers from each and every province have been touched by this fabulous tournament known as Rugby Christmas and can not get enough of us.

The Truro Rugby Club Board of Directors would like to give a big thank you to all players, teams, fans and officials that support us each year. We respect the loyalty that this tournament has from the east coast right to the west coast, returning players and new. We wish all teams the best of luck, on and off the pitch. It is because of all of you that Truro Saints can continue step by step in developing our prestige Truro Rugby Complex located at 441 Farnham Mill Road.

As I enter my 15th Truro Indoor sevens tournament I personally put a request out to all players/teams/fans to make this the best Truro Indoor Sevens Rugby weekend yet!!! From sun up to sun down there will be nothing but action packed Rugby, a sea of green to fill the venue with our pre St Paddys Day celebrations and of course our annual evening celebrations to follow :)

Now, As we all will celebrate the weekend sleeplessly and the last few moments of the weekend will start to wind down we all will unite in starting our 363 day Calendar countdown all over again as next years planning already has begun!!!!

Our scheduling committee worked through the night and finally finished the Friday schedule. As you can imagine, this is no easy task. Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate every teams wishes and dreams. This is a three day tournament and teams need to play Friday am. We also had to move up several Men's and Women's teams up from their requested B division to the A division. It is for the good of the tournament, our only other options is to put all teams in one division, which does not keep the most inexperienced from the most experienced.

Everything is looking great for the tournament. We are excited to see everyone in a weeks' time.

Registration for Truro Sevens 2014 is officially closed. We are completely full with 74 teams. 30 Women's teams and 44 Men's teams. We will being moving some of the teams up to A division because we have too many in b and not quite enough in A. It is for the good of the tournament, so please don't cry if it happens to you.

The schedules will be completed by Monday and we'll get them out ASAP. Please remember that this is a 3 day tournament. Not all teams can play "after work Friday" take the day off, fake sick, whatever.. Get to Truro for the Rugby Tournament!!!

Everything is ready to go, or at least will be for kick-off in two weeks. Be prepared for rugby madness, epic rises to glory and equally epic falls from grace. We are pumped to host all the teams and make this an amazing week-end.

This is the first in a series of mass emails regarding the Truro Indoor Rugby Sevens Tournament for 2014. All the information you need is contained in the attached "Registration Package".

The dates are confirmed for March 7th to March 9th, 2014. Same place as always, The MacMillan Show Centre.

We are in the process of getting the tournament sanctioned by Rugby Canada and we are planning on getting the same type of insurance that we had last year. This "new" insurance that is available through Rugby Canada allows non-registered players to play in the tournament if they register with a team.

The entry fees are staying the same as the past few years, $350 for the first team and $300 for each additional team from the same club or university.
